Can a Lawyer Really Get My Ticket Dismissed?

Sometimes. We review every ticket for defects, a missing supporting deposition, and weak evidence, and we ask for dismissal when the facts support it. More often, we use our experience negotiating with prosecutors to seek a reduction to a lower-point or non-moving violation. Results depend on the facts and the court, and no outcome can be promised.

Do I Need to Appear in Albany Court If I Hire a Lawyer?

In many cases, you may not need to appear. Where the court allows, we handle court appearances for you in Albany City Court and the surrounding town and village courts. The judge can still require you to attend, and misdemeanors such as DWI or aggravated unlicensed operation generally require you in person.

How Much Does It Cost to Fight a Traffic Ticket in Albany?

The cost depends on the violation and the court. We charge a flat fee per ticket and give you a clear quote at the consultation. Compare that fee with the full cost of pleading guilty: the fine, the state surcharge, points, a possible Driver Responsibility Assessment, and higher insurance premiums that can last for years.

Will Hiring a Lawyer Keep Points Off My License and Insurance?

No lawyer can promise an outcome, and there are no guarantees. We review the ticket and work to reduce or dismiss the charge, for example to a lower-point or non-moving violation, which can keep points off your license and limit insurance increases. An approved defensive driving course can also offset some points.
