Saahir A. Seraj

He previously served as Deputy Corporation Counsel for the City of Troy, where he advised the mayor and municipal departments on litigation, contracts, land use, zoning, labor and employment, and public records matters. He represented the City in civil litigation, including 50-h hearings, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and ERPO hearings, and handled FOIL appeals and compliance matters.
During law school, Saahir clerked at a real estate law firm representing clients in residential and commercial transactions and also clerked with the City of Troy Corporation Counsel’s Office.
In addition to his legal work, Saahir has experience in retail real estate investment, providing practical business insight alongside his legal training.
